Job summary

ECPI University in Virginia Beach is hiring an onsite Data Engineer to design, build, and own end-to-end data pipelines for its Snowflake platform. You will ingest data from enterprise SaaS, student systems, and operational databases, applying batch, API extraction, CDC, and near real-time streaming approaches.

You will implement transformation logic in SQL and Python, keep code tested and version-controlled, and collaborate with the Senior Director of Solution Architecture to shape standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 4+ years data engineering experience, incl. 2+ years in Snowflake.
• Experience designing end-to-end data pipelines and durable data models.
• Advanced SQL and Python; CI/CD in data projects.
• Familiarity with Snowflake, dbt, and orchestration tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design and own end-to-end data pipelines into Snowflake.
• Develop dimensional data models for analytics and reporting.
• Implement tested, version-controlled code with CI/CD.
• Tune performance and cost; manage data quality tests.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and mentor teammates.
