Job summary

Rogue Fitness is seeking a hands-on Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to own and operate security tooling and workflows in Columbus, OH. You’ll tune WAFs, enforce cloud controls, and drive security investigations across platforms daily.

You’ll manage EDR and SIEM operations, lead incident response, and perform threat hunting, forensics, and vulnerability validation with DevSecOps collaboration. This role requires on-site presence in Columbus.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience administering a web application firewall (e.g., Cloudflare or similar enterprise platform).
• Strong understanding of web security fundamentals: HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, TLS, APIs, OWASP risks, bot activity, rate limiting, and DDoS.
• Experience implementing security controls in GCP, Azure, or another public cloud, including identity, network, storage, and logging configurations.
• Experience with EDR/XDR platforms (e.g., CrowdStrike) and operating SIEM/SOAR tools for security investigations.
• Experience with vulnerability management, penetration testing, threat hunting, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Administer and improve WAF platforms; tune rules, rate limits, bot protections, and DDoS controls.
• Implement and maintain security controls across GCP, Azure, and other cloud platforms; remediate misconfigurations and excessive permissions.
• Support application security and DevSecOps practices across the development lifecycle; review APIs, SaaS, and AI-enabled apps for risk.
• Manage EDR (CrowdStrike) and anti-ransomware protections; operate SIEM/SOAR with alerts, detections, dashboards, and automation.
• Lead incident investigations, containment, remediation, and recovery; maintain IR playbooks; conduct threat hunting and forensics.
