Job summary

LVT is seeking a Configuration Specialist to own initial setup and activation of new security units. You will validate hardware, assign units in the VMS, and configure cameras, presets, and settings to spec. Collaboration with project managers, technicians, and support staff ensures every unit is field-ready.

The role is full-time and on-site at our American Fork, UT headquarters, with a background check and state registration as an Alarm Agent required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; technical certifications are a plus.
• Experience configuring security or surveillance systems is preferred.
• Hands-on hardware and software configuration experience is essential.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and attention to detail are required.

Responsibilities

• Recommend system configurations to maximize efficiency and value for the customer.
• Complete the activation checklist for each new security unit and validate hardware setup.
• Log and assign new units in the Video Management System (VMS) for accurate tracking.
• Configure presets, camera angles, and settings to spec; verify dates and times.
• Configure cameras remotely to optimize image quality and analytics performance.
• Maintain thorough records of configurations and completion forms.
