Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking an Operations Field Engineer to install, service, and troubleshoot access control and CCTV systems at customer sites in Petersburg, VA. This onsite role requires hands-on work with low-voltage electronics, cabling, readers, and related security hardware while adhering to safety standards.

You will diagnose system issues using specialized software and test equipment, read blueprints and wiring diagrams, and maintain accurate inventory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of experience in electronics with commercial access control and CCTV.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in confined spaces.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
• Willingness to work on a W-2 and convert to full-time.

Responsibilities

• Install cabling and readers, mount equipment, door contacts and strikes, intrusion detection, CCTV equipment, and access control systems.
• Use diagnostic equipment and software to troubleshoot equipment and resolve performance issues.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, wiring diagrams, and other specifications.
• Manage and maintain proper material inventory.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
