Job summary

JFL Consulting is seeking a Security Specialist to provide full-time, on-site security support at the U.S. Naval Observatory in Washington, DC.

The role supports the Security Manager and Special Security Officer, ensuring compliance with security protocols for SCI environments, including SCIF accreditation and NBIS/DISS handling. Candidates should have 3–5+ years in industrial security or FSO roles and hold a TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI clearance required.
• 3–5 years in security field or FSO role preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing personnel security clearances in DISS/NBIS.
• Maintain SCIF accreditation packages and ongoing compliance with ICD 705.
• Administer electronic access control systems and badge management.
• Support SCIF inspections, accreditation actions, and CSA/AO coordination.
• Assist with AT/FP program development and training.
