Job summary

Securitas is actively seeking a Corporate Security Officer to protect people and property in Dubuque, IA. You will monitor premises, manage access control, patrol sites, and enforce site regulations while serving as the first contact for tenants, visitors, and vendors with strong customer service.

Requirements include being 18+, a high school diploma or GED, solid computer skills, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Great attention to detail and vigilance during shift.
• Professional demeanor throughout the workday.
• Willing to participate in pre-employment screening (drug screen and background).

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues or suspicious activity.
• Ensure post orders are followed and rounds completed.
• Provide customer service and information to employees and guests.
• Utilize technology devices during shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Building access control and credential verification.
• Complete accurate reports.
• Assist with emergencies and special events as needed.
