Job summary

Nooks is seeking a Security Specialist to join our site operations team, working onsite daily to apply SCIF/SAPF doctrine while triaging client questions, provisioning access, and ensuring overall facility readiness.

You will onboard clients, verify eligibility, and coordinate with IT, Cyber, Product, and government partners to keep operations compliant and secure. This entry-level role offers training, mentorship, and increasing responsibilities as you grow.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in security, military, law enforcement, or related operational field.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of Collateral areas, SCIFs, and SAPFs.
• Comfortable working onsite daily and responding to after-hours alarms.
• Strong communication skills as the face of Nooks for clients.
• Administrative rigor with reviews of DD254s and access in systems of record.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own first-line triage for client security questions and concerns, resolving routine matters and escalating when needed.
• Deliver onboarding briefings to new clients, explaining procedures and answering questions.
• Process and verify clearance eligibility and access for clients, partners, and visitors; provision badges and access credentials.
• Prepare rooms ahead of client use and sanitize and check them afterward; respond to after-hours alarm activations.
• Train and mentor Level 1 and Level 2 Security Specialists as a first escalation point.
• Provide informal coverage of routine site operations when the Security Manager is unavailable.
