Job summary

Enbridge in Salt Lake City, UT seeks a Specialist of Safety on a 1-year, onsite contract. You will collaborate with partners to address field safety issues and perform safety inspections on construction and pipeline work.

You will also conduct area safety assessments, support incident investigations, and promote a positive safety culture across projects. The role requires OSHA 30, strong communication, and energy-industry experience, with a pay rate of $26.50 per hour and per diem.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 hour certification required.
• Competent person (excavation) certification.
• First Aid/ CPR trained.
• 5+ years Health & Safety experience or a safety degree with 3+ years experience.
• Computer literacy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.
• Energy industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with external and internal partners to address field safety issues and support safety inspections.
• Inspect area/regional construction projects and pipe installations; shadow pre-construction activities.
• Audit contractor safety and environmental compliance per manual.
• Participate in area safety assessments, inspections, observations, and reviews.
• Support incident investigations and corrective action monitoring with contractors.
• Promote positive safety culture and support safety plans for projects.
• Receive direction from supervisor; align with company vision.
• Collaborate with staff in safety functions.
• Identify project risks with Safety Advisors and inspectors.
• On-site audits of contractor safety plan and project safety plan; coordinate schedules.
