Job summary

The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD is seeking an experienced Safety and Security Associate to perform duties across its agency sites. You will conduct safety checks, engage with staff and visitors, respond to non-police emergencies, and document incidents.

You will also help maintain secure access and participate in trainings to support trauma-informed safety. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of customer service experience; Spanish bilingual skills

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of customer service experience required; healthcare/educational setting preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
• Ability to interact professionally with staff and consumers.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety and security patrols with interior and exterior checks.
• Engage with staff, persons served, and visitors.
• Respond to non-police emergencies including alarms, medical incidents, and hazards.
• Complete incident reports, logs, and weekly site inspections.
• Manage opening/closing of clinics and use two-way radios for communication.
