The ideal candidate will train drivers on DOT/FMCSA requirements, maintain safety records, and assist audits. Strong communication, attention to detail, and proficiency with MS Office are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to work effectively with drivers and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work varying days and hours as needed.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Conduct new-driver orientation and training.
• Train drivers on company policies, safety procedures, DOT/FMCSA requirements, and customer expectations.
• Verify required training and orientation documentation.
• Monitor driver compliance with PPE, cargo securement, inspections, and safe operating procedures.
• Identify unsafe conditions and behaviors and recommend corrective actions.
• Conduct safety discussions, inspections, and compliance reviews.
• Maintain accurate safety and compliance records.
• Assist with DOT, customer, insurance, and internal audits.
• Coach drivers and provide refresher training when needed.
• Communicate safety concerns and trends to Operations and Safety Management.
• Serve as a safety resource for drivers and assist with operational needs as assigned.
• Provide backup support to the Southbound Dispatcher.
