Job summary

Everglades University seeks an onsite adjunct instructor to lead courses in Renewable Energy and Sustainable Systems. You will deliver instruction, manage classroom activities, and assess student performance while maintaining academic integrity on campus.

Required are 3–5+ years of hands-on work in electrical, construction, or renewable trades, plus a Master’s in a relevant field (PhD preferred). Industry certifications such as NABCEP, OSHA, LEED, or BPI are highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Master’s degrees in relevant fields are required or highly preferred.
• Hands-on experience in electrical, construction or renewable trades.
• Certifications in NABCEP, OSHA, LEED or BPI are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Attend a weekly feedback meeting with assigned EU administrator to review student and classroom issues.
• Maintain accurate attendance (daily and weekly).
• Make phone calls to students who have been absent.
• Review and administer pre- and post-testing in all appropriate courses.
• Administer required surveys and assessments in all appropriate courses.
• Notify registrar of changes in roster.
• Maintain an accurate and fair grading scheme for each student.
• Adhere to all University policies, rules, and regulations.
• Maintain formal, neat, legible, accurate, and organized course syllabi.
• Update attendance daily and grades weekly; ensure records stay on campus.
