Job summary

Propio Language Services is seeking onsite contract interpreters for the Minneapolis–St. Paul, MN area.

The role focuses on accurate consecutive interpretation between English and all spoken languages, with opportunities for remote interpretation by telephone or video when applicable. We require at least one year of interpreting experience, strong English proficiency, and the ability to travel to assignments.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proficiency in English and All Spoken Languages.
• Ability to accurately provide consecutive interpretation between English and All Spoken Languages.
• Successful completion of language and interpreting proficiency evaluations.
• Submission of a current résumé in English during the application process.
• Basic computer and technology proficiency.
• Ability to travel to onsite assignments.
• Background checks may be required for certain assignments.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and professional consecutive interpretation between English and All Spoken Languages during onsite assignments.
• Provide remote interpretation by telephone or video when applicable.
• Follow interpreter protocols, professional standards, and client requirements.
• Comply with confidentiality, privacy, security, and data-protection requirements (HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA, etc.).
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with client/site requirements.
• Interact professionally with clients, patients, and other participants.
• Maintain language proficiency, terminology, and subject-matter knowledge.
