Job summary

Propio Language Services is seeking qualified onsite interpreters in the Dayton, OH area to facilitate accurate consecutive interpretation across healthcare, education, government, and other settings. Remote interpretation may be required by assignment.

This is an independent contractor role with strict adherence to client requirements and privacy standards. You will interpret between English and various languages, uphold professional ethics, pass credentialing evaluations, and maintain

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Fluent in English and one or more other languages.
• Ability to provide accurate consecutive interpretation.
• Successful completion of language/interpretation proficiency evaluations.
• Submit a current résumé in English during the application process.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education/experience as required by clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate consecutive interpretation between English and other languages during onsite assignments.
• Offer remote interpretation by telephone or video when applicable.
• Follow interpreter protocols, professional standards, and client requirements.
• Comply with confidentiality, privacy, security, and ethics policies for each assignment.
• Maintain professional interactions with clients, patients, and other participants.
• Stay current with language terminology and subject-matter knowledge.
