Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking a Refrigeration Construction Foreman to lead field operations for supermarket refrigeration installations in new store constructions and remodels. You will ensure high-quality workmanship and safety while coordinating with customers and project leadership.

Ideal candidates will have 5 years of experience leading refrigeration projects, strong communication skills, and the ability to interpret blueprints and manage schedules.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ relevant experience leading and directing commercial refrigeration installations on jobsites.
• Valid State Driver’s License.
• Strong customer service and communication skills, engaging effectively with contractors, inspectors, and laborers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field operations and provide direction to tradesmen for supermarket refrigeration installations on new stores and remodels.
• Maintain clear, professional communication with clients, colleagues, and leadership.
• Develop and adjust work schedules to meet deadlines and weather challenges.
• Provide project status updates to stakeholders, including project managers and construction leadership.
• Uphold safety standards and ensure quality workmanship across projects.
• Interpret blueprints, conduct material takeoffs, and procure supplies.
• Oversee construction projects including piping cooler boxes and refrigeration rooms, ensuring specifications compliance.
• Record and submit daily progress reports and address discrepancies.
• Train and mentor lower-level team members across multiple trades.
