Job summary

Exalta Group seeks a Quality Inspector in Marquette, MI for a regular full-time position. You will inspect products with high-precision tools and read reports to guide engineering feedback. The role supports safety and quality across internal and supplier-made items.

Requirements include a high school diploma and 1+ years in manufacturing. You will operate CMMs and vision systems, perform AQL and 100% inspections, and maintain a clean, OSHA-compliant workspace.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• 1+ years’ manufacturing experience preferred.
• Familiarity with GD&T concepts and inspection procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret measurement data and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Support operations to achieve optimal product quality.
• Document inspection results and operate inspection equipment
• Create Non-Conformance (NC) if parts do not meet the required specifications.
• Read measurement reports and provide feedback to engineers, machinists, and fellow team members.
• Perform routine Acceptable Quality Limit (AQL) inspections and conduct 100% inspections as required, including inspections for in-house and purchased manufactured semi-finished and finished goods.
• Inspect for conformance to specifications, drawings, and inspection requirements using various visual, physical, mechanical, and/or electrical evaluations.
• Navigation of high precision equipment such as CMMs, Keyence and Vision Systems.
• Participates in Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (Gage R&R) measurements
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with general shop safety and OSHA requirements.
