Matlen Silver is seeking a Quality Engineer to support production and assembly operations in a fast-paced manufacturing setting in Portage, MI. The role emphasizes hands-on RCA, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.

The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree and experience in regulated manufacturing environments, including medical devices, with a focus on continuous improvement and strong documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or closely related technical degree.
• Experience in Quality Engineering, QA, Manufacturing Quality, Production Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in medical device or relevant regulated/manufacturing industries preferred.
• Hands-on experience supporting production, manufacturing, assembly, or production operations.
• Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability and willingness to work 100% onsite, Monday–Friday.
• Ability to commit to a 12-month contract.

Responsabilités

• Provide quality support for production and assembly operations.
• Investigate quality and production issues and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Support non-conforming product investigations and corrective actions.
• Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Production, and Quality teams.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving quality issues.
• Support process and product quality improvements.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal teams and stakeholders.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
