Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Quality Engineer to join the Effectors Operations Quality team. You will drive quality requirements, support manufacturing objectives, and lead continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a STEM degree, 2+ years in quality/engineering, AS9100/ISO 9001 experience, and the ability to obtain security clearance. Onsite work is expected with a strong emphasis on data-driven quality management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) required.
• Experience with AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain ATF clearance prior to start date.
• Citizenship requirement: U.S. citizenship for security clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Verify product and process compliance with contractual, technical, and QMS requirements.
• Develop relationships with touch labor, factory leadership, program leadership, and DCMA.
• Perform data analysis and publish actionable metrics.
• Participate in RCCA investigations and lead Corrective Action Boards.
• Support MRB disposition and non-conforming material control.
• Develop and review inspection instructions and First Article Inspections (FAIs).
• Interface with DCMA and stakeholders to manage issues.
• Participate in weekly meetings to reduce cost of poor quality and expedite red rack dispositions.
