Job summary

DAVIS is seeking an Assistant Quality Manager to partner with Operations teams and help execute quality management programs on our construction projects. You will assist with QA processes, track open items, and support trade coordination while ensuring project standards are met and learning opportunities are pursued across the site teams.

This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to follow departmental standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Two years’ experience in construction operations, quality management, or quality assurance roles.
• Experience in onsite operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the implementation of quality management programs on assigned projects and tracks open items for follow-up.
• Familiar with project expectations and able to identify when expectations are not being met.
• Assists project teams in kickoff efforts to identify risk and assign quality-focused tasks to team members.
• Identifies alternative quality control methods and reviews with manager to ensure alignment with company and project standards.
• Participates in project meetings to support quality-focused content.
• Supports onboarding and planning for quality with trade partners and project staff; identifies when quality plans are not followed.
• Directs teams to resources for technical assistance in correcting deficiencies and ensuring standards are met.
• Supports the creation of quality-focused documents for trade coordination, field implementation, and field quality control.
• Assists with the RFI process and ensures proper documentation.
