Job summary

Abbott in Temecula, California is seeking a QA Technician I for a 12-month, 100% onsite assignment. The role supports retrieval and inventory/testing of Returned Goods related to product complaints and assists with entering complaints into the ECHO system.

This position requires organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma with 2–5 years of related experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and familiarity with quality

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or equivalent plus 2-5 years of related work experience or equivalent combination.
• Two-year degree or some college credits preferred.
• Familiar with using Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel).
• Applies broad knowledge of general technical concepts and practices in a quality system environment.
• Performs non-routine to moderately complex technical assignments using standard methods and sequences.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
• Assists laboratory personnel in providing analysis support by attempting to retrieve and inventory Returned Goods associated with product complaints.
• Communicates with customers and affiliates in a professional manner via email, phone and fax to ensure timely retrieval attempts and shall elevate to management as needed.
• Candidate must be organized, focused, detailed oriented and able to work independently at times.
• Maintains inventory of proxy devices, sterile device returns and supports procurement related tasks.
• Learns processes to ensure timely device retrieval, inventory, and analysis of complaint devices.
