Job summary

ITAC is seeking a Project Manager to support an Industrial Gas Turbine division's multi-year facility expansion. You will coordinate engineering, procurement, and construction activities to deliver capital improvements on schedule and within budget.

Based in Hampton Roads, VA, you will work with internal stakeholders, vendors, and contractors on site to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes while aligning with project goals and operational needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related discipline.
• 3–5+ years managing or supporting industrial facility, manufacturing, or capital projects.
• Mechanical and/or electrical engineering background to review technical information.
• Experience coordinating with engineering consultants, contractors, equipment vendors, and construction teams.
• Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is not required.

Responsibilities

• Support development and execution of project plans for facility expansion.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, civil, architectural, and construction resources to define project scope, requirements, schedules, and budgets.
• Facilitate engineering reviews and stakeholder meetings.
• Assist with the preparation, review, and coordination of technical specifications, project documentation, and bid packages.
• Coordinate with equipment suppliers and vendors regarding equipment requirements, layouts, installation considerations, and project deliverables.
• Evaluate project risks and develop mitigation strategies to support successful project execution.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, contractor, and construction activities to support project objectives.
• Monitor project scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality performance.
• Serve as a liaison between internal stakeholders, contractors, vendors, and project teams.
• Track project progress and communicate status updates, risks, and key decisions to project stakeholders.
• Support contractor management, procurement activities, field coordination, and construction oversight as required.
• Ensure project deliverables are completed in accordance with project requirements and established timelines.
