Railroad Construction Company, Inc. in Camden, NJ is seeking a Project Engineer to support planning, coordination, and delivery of heavy civil and rail projects.

You will bridge field operations, management, and subcontractors to keep projects on schedule and within budget. Requirements include a civil engineering degree, 5+ years of heavy civil experience, and proficiency with construction software like Procore, Primavera P6, and AutoCAD.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering/Management, or related field.
• Experience with construction contracts, specifications and drawings.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work on active construction sites in varying weather conditions.
• Experience with Vista, Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project, Bluebeam or similar software.
• OSHA 30 or safety certifications a plus.
• 5+ years in heavy civil or industrial construction.
• Excel proficiency and MS Office suite.
• EIT/FE or PE licensure progress preferred.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GPS layouts or machine control.

Responsabilidades

• Champion safety and enforce the company's safety program.
• Prepare, track, and manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and transmittals.
• Maintain contract documents, drawings, and revision logs; prepare reports.
• Assist with schedule updates, look-ahead schedules, and critical path analysis.
• Perform quantity takeoffs, verify quantities, assist with monthly pay apps and billing.
• Track project costs against budget and support change orders.
• Coordinate daily activities with superintendents and subcontractors.
• Review plans for constructability and conflicts.
• Support survey, layout, and field engineering; verify work meets plans.
• Implement project quality control, inspections, testing, certifications.
• Support site safety activities and incident reporting.
• Ensure compliance with environmental permits and DBE requirements.
• Communicate with owners, inspectors, and regulators; participate in meetings.
• Resolve field issues promptly and document resolutions.
• Work in varying outdoor conditions, travel as needed, and flexible hours.
