Job summary

McMillen, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to provide project planning, scheduling, procurement, and technical support on heavy civil construction projects. The role collaborates with the project manager, superintendent, foremen, and crews to meet project needs.

The position is on site at our Dallas, TX office with travel to assigned projects as needed. Background checks and drug screens are required; security clearance may be required per client rules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering is highly desired.
• Project Engineer: 12+ years of experience in construction.
• Ability to read, analyze, and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong computer skills with MS Office; Primavera and Heavy Job/Heavy Bid are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduling of the project.
• Manages revenue, cost, and cash flow.
• Coordinates sub-contractors and product vendors.
• Assists in design management and quality control.
• Oversees project closeout.
• Maintains relationships with client representatives.
• Trains and directs Field Engineers.
• Develops owner relations.
