Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking a Project Architect to support construction phase services onsite for a major renovation and new construction in the Poughkeepsie, New York area.

You’ll work with a Senior Project Architect and a multidisciplinary team to resolve field challenges and facilitate collaboration among client, contractor, and stakeholders. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, 7+ years of experience, and registration or active pursuit of licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 7+ years of post-graduate relevant experience.
• Professional registration as an Architect or pursuing licensure with intent to obtain within 1 year.
• OSHA 10 certification.
• Experience supporting construction administration services.
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents and schedules.
• Proficiency with Revit for architectural modeling and BIM collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Support construction administration activities with Senior Project Architect.
• Conduct site reviews to validate design intent and progress.
• Collaborate to resolve field issues with stakeholders and contractors.
• Participate in OAC meetings and provide project support as needed.
• Monitor construction progress and evaluate work quality against requirements.
• Document deviations and construction-related issues for timely action.
• Review and process RFIs, submittals, and payment applications.
• Coordinate design revisions and updated drawings with project team.
• Assist in project closeout and final documentation efforts.
