Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Project Architect to support construction phase services for a major renovation and new construction project in the Poughkeepsie, New York area. You will work with a Senior Project Architect and a multidisciplinary team to resolve field issues, manage submittals, and coordinate with clients and contractors.

The role offers growth opportunities, potential transition to a full‑time design-focused position, and requires onsite presence five days a week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 7+ years of post-graduate relevant experience.
• Professional registration as an Architect or active licensure pursuit (within 1 year).
• OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days.
• Experience supporting construction administration services.
• Ability to resolve design, coordination, and construction challenges with supervision.
• Solid understanding of construction contract documents and administration.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Revit for BIM and modeling.

Responsibilities

• Support construction administration activities with Senior Project Architect.
• Perform site reviews to validate design intent and assess progress.
• Collaborate with teams, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve field issues.
• Participate in OAC meetings and provide project support.
• Monitor progress and evaluate work quality against requirements.
• Document deviations and construction-related issues for senior staff.
• Review and process contractor payments and RFIs.
• Coordinate design revisions and updated drawings with the team.
• Support project closeout and final documentation.
