Yoh Staffing’s client in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a Buyer (Onsite) to negotiate pricing, manage suppliers, and procure materials for manufacturing. The role is on-site with pay at $30-$35/hr.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of procurement experience, with SAP/ARIBA experience and strong communication and analytical skills to support active supplier relationships and inventory management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of procurement experience.
• Data analysis, inventory management, procurement processes, and supply chain technologies.
• Procurement software skills such as SAP/SCV/ARIBA.
• Effective communication, negotiation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of supply chain processes and purchasing strategies.
• Knowledge of inventory management and logistics.
• Familiarity with contract management and vendor relations.

Responsibilities

• Negotiates pricing and other terms of purchase under supervision.
• Quotes materials; procures materials, components, equipment and services at the lowest cost.
• Expedites and ensures timely receipt of materials.
• Issues RFQs, analyzes proposals, negotiates prices and delivery, issues and/or adjusts purchase orders.
• Follows-up on orders, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains records.
• Leads purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering to maintain inventory at planned levels.
• Leads problem resolution for material related accounting and receiving issues.
