Xylem is seeking a Process Operator for its Windsor, CT area. The role involves performing a series of manufacturing operations under close supervision, requiring physical activity including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and operating area-specific equipment in CARBON and REGEN processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in Manufacturing.
• Completion of site-specific safety training.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
• Competency in following and reading instructions.
• Basic math skills.
• Experience in manufacturing or plant operations.
• Forklift driving skills.
• Computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all workplace safety procedures and product quality guidelines.
• Monitor equipment throughout the shift to ensure optimal functionality.
• Read and follow required processes accurately.
• Contribute to achieving divisional results and overall performance.
• Address internal and external customer needs and expectations.
• Operate area-specific equipment, including CARBON: bag products, conduct sampling and testing; manage spent carbon feeding to reactivation furnace; switch tank feed from tank to tank; calibrate pH probes; operate a filter press; run facility wastewater treatment plant; REGEN: sort bottles by size and resin; handle deliveries; operate forklift for materials movement and loading/unloading of trucks; evacuate bottles through plant operations.
