BioHorizons in Hoover, AL is seeking a Vulcan Process Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes for existing and new products and to drive continuous improvement across departments. You will work with Vulcan management to enhance quality, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards.

The role requires experience with lean initiatives, cross-functional teamwork, and hands-on process validation activities, including IQ/OQ/PQ, SOP maintenance, and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• 4+ years in FDA/ISO regulated medical device manufacturing.
• 2+ years with medical device workflows.
• Experience facilitating cross-functional teams and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Drive improvement projects across cross-functional teams to ensure success.
• Identify gaps and lead process improvement and waste reduction efforts.
• Utilize Lean Six Sigma to eliminate process waste throughout the system.
• Develop and improve manufacturing processes for existing and new products.
• Support engineering in analyzing production for repeatability and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and participate in audits.
