Job summary

Raleigh Oaks Behavioral Health in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Behavioral Health Associate I (PRN) to join the multidisciplinary team. Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, you will monitor patient behaviors, provide continuous care, and assist in data collection and crisis response.

Responsibilities include supervising patients, assisting with activities of daily living, performing safety checks, taking vital signs, noting changes, and documenting in patient records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months or more experience with the facility's population preferred.
• Knowledge of psychiatric disorders and dual diagnosis and various treatment modalities of the population served preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure wellbeing of patients and provide a safe, positive, supportive environment under supervision.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Conduct safety checks and supervise per guidelines.
• Take and record vital signs and report significant changes to the clinical team.
• Chart in patient records timely and accurately.
• Apply de-escalation techniques to manage emotions and behavior; assist with seclusion/restraints when necessary.
• Assist with unit cleaning and organization, admissions/discharge processes, and filing.
• Initiate incident reports and coordinate patient/employee transportation as required.
• Receive report from previous shift and provide thorough report to oncoming shift.
