Western Governors University is seeking Prelicensure Clinical Instructors (Hourly) for an on-site role in the Salt Lake City, UT region. In this position, you will mentor nursing students during experiential clinical coursework and oversee clinical time, often collaborating with coaches and other faculty.

You will work in a dynamic environment using technology-based teaching tools to support student success, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving clinical needs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing; Education is verified.
• Two years minimum nursing experience.
• Unencumbered RN license active in designated state.
• Preferred: Doctorate or terminal degree; distance education experience may be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Act as steward for carrying out WGU’s mission and strategic vision.
• Demonstrates commitment, effectiveness, and consistency in teaching roles.
• Mentor students in experiential clinical coursework in on-site/remote settings.
• Provide final review and approval for students' clinical time and progress.
• Utilize technology-based teaching platforms to aid student development.
• Collaborate with coaches/preceptors and other university professionals to support student success.
