Job summary

RTX/Collins Aerospace seeks a Boiler/Powerhouse Technician for onsite operation and maintenance in Windsor Locks, CT. This role supports boiler systems, water treatment, and fuel changeovers across multiple shifts to ensure safe, efficient power generation.

You will work from complex blueprints and operate standby equipment, with opportunities to contribute to plant reliability and process improvements in a fast paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years’ experience.
• Experience in Power plants, Powerhouses, engine rooms, engineering spaces, or similar.
• Experience with high pressure steam boilers and/or cogeneration plant.
• Experience working with complex blueprints, drawings, service manuals, charts, graphs or other written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, modify, repair and inspect boilers and equipment on and off site.
• Operate and adjust equipment for maximum efficiency.
• Take water samples on boilers and tower water systems; analyze results and take corrective action.
• Changeover boilers using alternate fuels, oils or gas under watch engineer guidance.
• Read complex blueprints, drawings, manuals, charts and instructions for powerhouse duties.
• Record daily performance of boiler operations and analysis; log sheets and records.
