Job summary

Health Haven is seeking a compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive evaluations, diagnoses, and medication management across diverse mental health conditions within our integrated behavioral health team.

You will collaborate with physicians, therapists, nursing staff, and support teams to ensure regulatory compliance, high-quality patient care, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Florida PMHNP-BC and APRN licensure.
• DEA registration and prescriptive authority in good standing.
• 5+ years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner; 1+ year of psychiatric experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and medication management.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and support staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate medical records in accordance with HIPAA and regulations.
• Prescribe and adjust psychiatric medications as clinically appropriate.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, medications, and community resources.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance.
• Assess and manage psychiatric crises and coordinate higher levels of care when needed.
