Job summary

Talent Edge Recruiting is seeking a Plant/ Operations Manager in the Wisconsin area to lead a growing specialty chemical operation. The role is onsite, with a ramp-up period to learn chemistry and formulations while building scalable systems.

You will manage day-to-day manufacturing, develop a formal QC function, and lead a hands-on team. A background in chemical manufacturing and strong Excel skills are valued, with a pathway for advancement.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in chemical, resin, coatings, or composites manufacturing.
• On-site or hands-on operations leadership experience preferred.
• Must be able to pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day manufacturing across a multi-building facility with multiple lines.
• Build the plant's first formal quality control function from the ground up.
• Lead, develop, and grow a hands-on production team with growth plans.
• Manage supplier relationships and coordination of shipping/receiving and freight.
• Develop and maintain Excel-based tracking for batch components and formulations.
• Be hands-on with production and learn chemistry/formulation with training over 6–8 months.
• Solve production problems as they arise in a growing plant.
