Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program is required.
• Licensure: prior to 2016, bachelor's or master's degree acceptable; 2016 onward requires Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT).
• Experience completing internship or apprenticeship program is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes billing sheet accurately by end of day.
• Evaluates effects of treatment at various stages and adjusts treatments to maximize benefit.
• Performs patient assessment and establishes a plan of care.
• Supervises PTAs according to organization policy and state regulations.
• Discusses evaluation, goals and treatment with patient and family.
