Job summary

Bracane Company is seeking a qualified phlebotomist for a full-time federal healthcare assignment in Tallahassee, Florida. This onsite position requires precise blood collection, patient identification, and strict adherence to safety and security procedures.

Schedule is Monday through Friday with typical daytime hours, up to 40 hours per week. Candidates should have at least six months of phlebotomy experience, CPR/AED certification, and completion of an accredited training program.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months of documented phlebotomy experience.
• Graduate of an accredited phlebotomy training program.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Ability to work onsite in Tallahassee, Florida.
• Ability to maintain accurate patient and specimen records.
• Ability to pass background, security, and facility access screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and other authorized blood collection procedures.
• Verify patient identity before collecting specimens.
• Label and process specimens accurately.
• Prepare specimens for testing, storage, or transport as required.
• Maintain appropriate specimen documentation and chain of custody where applicable.
• Follow infection control, bloodborne pathogen, and patient safety procedures.
• Maintain clean and organized collection areas and equipment.
• Monitor and maintain required phlebotomy supplies.
• Provide professional patient interaction during specimen collection.
• Protect confidential patient and healthcare information.
• Follow applicable clinical, safety, security, and facility procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of specimen collection activities.
