Job summary

Fortrea in Madison, WI is seeking a Clinical Research Physician to lead onsite medical coverage for Phase I trials. This full-time, onsite role offers a collaborative environment and the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge clinical research.

You will oversee clinical monitoring, participate in protocol development, prepare for IRB/IEC meetings, and may assume Sub- or Principal Investigator responsibilities, with a 7:30am–3:30pm M-F schedule and occasional weekend call.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with an active WI medical license and DEA.
• CPR/ACLS certified.
• 2+ years clinical experience (Family Medicine or Primary Care preferred).
• Clinical trials experience is a plus.
• Proficient in English; strong patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Supports healthy volunteers by providing onsite medical coverage and oversight.
• Communicates across clinical teams, regulatory bodies & trial participants.
• Supports study protocols, IRB/IEC meetings, and client visits.
• Conducts pre-, on-, and post-study exams.
• May serve as Sub- or Principal Investigator.
