Job summary

Wood County Hospital is seeking a Patient Services Specialist for Falcon Health Center on a per diem basis. The role provides administrative and clerical support, including answering phones, greeting patients, and coordinating scheduling within our electronic health record system.

Candidates will maintain accurate records, ensure timely communication, and uphold confidentiality while supporting daily operations and a culture of safety.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and clerical support to assigned department(s) to support efficient and organized daily operations.
• Coordinate communication by answering phones, greeting patients and visitors, routing inquiries, and relaying messages accurately and timely.
• Prepare and maintain departmental documents, correspondence, records, files, and reports in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
• Accurately complete patient scheduling/registration in electronic health record to support timely, compliant patient care and billing processes.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling patient, employee, and departmental information at all times.
• Prepare, prevent, protect and respond to support our culture of safety.
• Works hours per week in accordance with offer letter or per attributes of position at transfer request. May be expected to work longer hours as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
