UCHealth is seeking a Patient Access Specialist for its Pueblo site, performing receptionist, registration, and clerical duties to register patients for services. The role is onsite with a full-time schedule and day shifts, paying $19.67-$25.57 per hour.

The position includes responsibilities such as confirming visit details, coordinating with providers, verifying insurance, handling payments, and ensuring accurate patient information in the system.

Responsibilities

• Meets with patient and/or patient\'s caregiver to exchange necessary information and documentation.
• Provides explanation of visit, instructions, and addresses concerns and questions.
• Communicates with referring provider\'s office, clinical department(s), and/or other appropriate personnel to exchange necessary information and determine schedule.
• Verifies insurance benefits and obtains pre-certification/authorization as necessary.
• Determines and accepts required payments, including co-pays and deductibles, or refers to financial counselors for follow up.
