Responsibilities

• Conducts client assessments to identify history, current presentation, and treatment needs.
• Performs ongoing assessments of chemical dependence services required by the program.
• Contributes to treatment planning and progress reviews, documenting as required.
• Provides individual, group, or family counseling and uses evidence-based modalities.
• Educates clients and families about substance abuse and psychiatric issues.
• Ensures timely, clear documentation of client care and incidents.
• Provides crisis intervention and seeks consultation when needed.
• Plans and documents aftercare and liaises with insurance carriers.
