Job summary

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in the Boston area seeks an Infusion Pharmacist I responsible for the preparation, compounding, order verification, and dispensing of pharmaceuticals within oncology or sterile compounding, to optimize drug therapy and prevent adverse events.

This 100% onsite role supports Attleboro, Foxborough, and Milford locations and collaborates with providers, nurses, and pharmacy staff while ensuring compliance with regulations and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of Pharmacy.
• 1 year of pharmacist experience in a hospital pharmacy, ambulatory care, or sterile compounding, or 3 years of experience as a pharmacist in a retail pharmacy setting.
• Oncology pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation, compounding, and dispensing of pharmaceuticals including sterile products and chemotherapy.
• Evaluate medication orders for completeness and appropriateness; consult with providers and nurses as needed.
• Perform quality control on orders, prepared medications, and related processes.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and students as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations, policies, and Joint Commission standards.
