Job summary

BWX Technologies, Inc. (BWXT) is seeking an Operations and Testing Lead for Project Pele to serve as the on-site BWXT representative at INL in Idaho Falls. The role coordinates fueling, readiness, and test facility execution with BWXT and INL stakeholders.

The candidate will lead communication across teams, develop test programs, and ensure alignment with safety analyses and licensing efforts while managing workload with minimal supervision. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Nuclear, Electrical, or related).
• At least seven (7) years in an engineering-related field.
• Experience in disciplined operational environments and cross-organizational collaboration.
• On-site leadership and primary voice for BWXT.
• Experience developing and reviewing basis of estimates for proposals.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work with minimal direction.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage workload with limited supervision.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• DOE/DOD security clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate reactor plant integration efforts with BWXT and INL teams.
• Lead safety analysis, licensing, site layout, interfaces, fueling preparations and test program development.
• Act as BWXT testing and operations representative during fueling, assembly, startup, and operations.
• Maintain daily communication with INL stakeholders and BWXT personnel.
• Build relationships with INL to keep project on schedule and within budget.
• Promptly communicate design, manufacturing, and testing issues for coordination.
