Job summary

Saliense Consulting LLC in Arlington, VA is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure. You will work with Cisco Nexus/Catalyst, Aruba wireless, AWS cloud components, and Palo Alto security features to support secure, scalable networks.

The role requires strong DNS/IP networking, BGP, STIG compliance, and hands-on experience with SolarWinds for monitoring. Onsite only, with competitive benefits and professional development support.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of relevant experience in network infrastructure.
• Experience developing, maintaining and supporting technical infrastructure for mid- to large-sized projects.
• Experience performing installation, maintenance, and support of system software/hardware and user support.

Responsibilities

• LAN infrastructure support: staging, installation, and maintenance of Cisco Nexus/Catalyst and Aruba wireless controllers.
• WAN support: BGP neighbor configurations.
• Cloud architecture support for AWS services to support network architectures.
• Security policy configuration on Palo Alto firewalls (App-ID, User-ID, Global Protect, NAT, security profiles).
• AAA architecture configuration using Radius for Cisco/Aruba/Palo Alto platforms.
• PKI authentication and certificate management.
• Network troubleshooting including TCP/UDP, IPv4/IPv6, ACLs, Cisco/Palo Alto devices.
• Performance monitoring with SolarWinds.
• Documentation and STIG compliance.
• Hardware and software upgrades; asset management.
• LLDP/STP/VTP/VLAN/LACP/802.1q knowledge.
• Ticket resolution via ServiceNow.
