Job summary

IEA Infrastructure and Energy Alternatives in Irving, TX is seeking an Apprentice Program Trainer to lead the execution of training initiatives within the Apprenticeship Program. The role demands compliance with NCCER standards and effective collaboration with apprentices in various craft disciplines to ensure successful certification outcomes.

Ideal candidates will possess NCCER Instructor Certification, experience in construction, and effective teaching capabilities. A commitment to safety and continuous improvement is essential.

Qualifications

• Five years' relevant experience or an Associate's/Bachelor's degree with three years' experience.
• Four years of construction experience in wind, solar or energy storage.
• Experience mentoring or delivering vocational instruction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver standardized craft training programs and facilitate hands-on skill assessments.
• Maintain accurate records of trainee attendance and performance evaluations.
• Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to apprentices.

Skills

Bilingual in English and Spanish

Functional computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Excellent organizational skills

Ability to travel as required

Education

High school diploma or equivalent with five years’ experience

Associates or Bachelor’s degree with three years of experience
