Job summary

NorthStar Energy Solutions, a Quanta Services, Inc. company, is hiring an Onsite Project Manager for Data Center Electrical (Medium Voltage) in Grand Prairie, TX.

You will lead installation, coordination, and delivery of MV electrical systems on data center projects, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and compliance. You’ll work with contractors, utilities, and engineering teams in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment, reviewing drawings, managing RFIs and change orders, and reporting

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite execution of medium voltage electrical scope for data center construction projects
• Manage installation of MV systems (typically 5kV–35kV), including switchgear, transformers, feeders, and substations
• Coordinate with utility providers for service integration, energization, and outages
• Oversee subcontractors and field crews to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to schedule
• Review and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and one-line diagrams
• Track project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
• Ensure compliance with NEC, local codes, and data center design standards
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and field documentation
• Conduct site walks, inspections, and QA/QC verification of installed systems
• Support commissioning activities, including pre-functional and functional testing of MV systems
• Collaborate with civil, structural, and mechanical teams to resolve coordination issues
• Enforce safety protocols, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and energized work procedures
• Provide regular reporting to stakeholders on schedule, budget, and progress
