We provide systems engineering, integration, and advanced technology services to transform the future safety, security, and resiliency of critical missions on the ground, in the air, in space, and in the information systems that connect these domains.

ENSCO, Inc. is seeking an Onsite Mission Operations & Technical Support Specialist to support a customer in Melbourne, Florida. This role serves as a trusted bridge between mission users, customer leadership, and ENSCO software and engineering teams. The specialist will help ensure that our capabilities are operationally ready, aligned with mission workflows, securely supported, and effectively adopted by the user community.

The successful candidate will combine national-security mission experience with strong technical troubleshooting, system sustainment, configuration control, documentation, and communication skills. The position emphasizes onsite customer support, operational reliability, user engagement, and coordination of issue resolution across mission and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide onsite operational and technical support for our capabilities and associated mission workflows in the customer environment.
  • Serve as a liaison among mission users, customer leadership, system administrators, software engineers, architects, and other stakeholders.
  • Gather, clarify, and document operational requirements, user feedback, system-health information, and recommended capability improvements.
  • Troubleshoot application, service, interface, and user-workflow issues; reproduce problems, identify failure conditions, document findings, and coordinate corrective action across ENSCO's deployed services.
  • Support deployment readiness, operational testing, user acceptance activities, release validation, and transition of new or modernized capabilities into mission use.
  • Monitor and support Linux/Unix- and Windows-based mission services in coordination with system administration and software-development personnel.
  • Plan and facilitate user-group meetings, demonstrations, training sessions, and technical exchanges; track actions and communicate outcomes.
  • Prepare clear status reports, system-health summaries, technical procedures, configuration records, release documentation, and executive briefings.
  • Support disciplined configuration and change management for mission systems, including documentation of planned modifications and operational impacts.
  • Apply classified-environment procedures, federal security requirements, and secure operational practices while handling mission data and technical material.
  • Work independently in a fast-paced onsite environment while contributing effectively within Agile and cross-functional ENSCO teams.
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and at least 3 years of relevant experience supporting national-security missions, technical operations, system sustainment, configuration management, data analysis, or a closely related field.
  • Current TS/SCI clearance for which you must be a US citizen.
  • Willingness to satisfy additional program-specific security requirements, including a polygraph if applicable.
  • Demonstrated experience working in classified or regulated environments, including adherence to SCIF procedures and control of sensitive or classified material.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills involving complex applications, equipment, interfaces, services, or operational workflows.
  • Working knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows operating environments; experience interpreting system status, failures, and technical performance information.
  • Experience developing and maintaining technical documentation, status reports, configuration records, procedures, or training materials.
  • Ability to brief coworkers, mission users, technical teams, and senior leaders clearly and confidently.
  • Proven ability to work independently, lead or facilitate small teams, and collaborate with geographically or functionally distributed stakeholders.
Qualifications Desired
  • Prior international treaty-monitoring, material-sampling, sensor, intelligence, or comparable national-security mission experience.
  • Experience sustaining globally deployed mission equipment or services, coordinating preventive and emergency maintenance, and providing remote operator support.
  • Software configuration or change-management experience involving complex legacy systems, databases, or multi-language software environments.
  • Experience analyzing complex technical data and translating field or user needs into system, interface, workflow, or capability requirements.
  • Security+ certification or the ability to obtain Security+ within 90 days of employment.
  • Familiarity with Agile development and modern software-delivery concepts, including RESTful APIs, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing, and secure software-development practices.
