Job summary

Bastion Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to support NASA/JPL MASS subcontract projects in Pasadena, CA. The role involves assuring software quality across lifecycles, evaluating approaches, and applying solutions with project-wide impact.

The position requires a TS/SCI clearance, a relevant bachelor's degree, and at least six years of related experience. Proficiency in C, C++, Java, or Python in UNIX/Linux or RTOS environments is expected.

Qualifications

• Requires a TS/SCI Clearance and US citizenship.
• Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, cyber security, cyber defense, mathematics, aerospace engineering or similar.
• Minimum of 6 years of related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective and efficient solutions by meeting project objectives while adhering to quality standards.
• Perform high-value Software Quality Assurance Engineering, developing or acquiring mission critical software.
• Plan and cost appropriate Software Assurance activities tailored to a project.
• Review and assess software development throughout projects' lifecycle.
• Work with the QA Group Supervisor and Leads to improve project software infrastructure, processes, systems, and tools.
• Seek out new tools and techniques to improve Software Quality, Reliability, and Safety Engineering.
• Explore new areas such as MBMA, static code analysis, independent verification of systems, AIs, LLMs, and assurance of software embedded in ASICs and FPGAs.
