Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Blairsville, PA seeks an experienced Millwright to plan, lay out and implement complex work assignments. You will install, repair, rebuild and move machinery and related equipment across the plant, reporting to Maintenance Supervisor.

This 100% onsite role requires five years of mechanical repair experience and a journeyman certification. The position offers competitive hourly pay and a full benefits package consistent with Westinghouse standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Journeyman Millwright / Mechanical Craft Certification.
• Five (5) years Mechanical Repair Craft experience, three (3) of which must be in an industrial maintenance environment.
• Diploma or applicable education from a trade or technical school in industrial maintenance may qualify for part of experience requirement.

Responsibilities

• Receive work assignments and work from sketches, prints, drawings or other instructions from supervisor.
• Disconnect and reconnect electrical services up to 120V, single phase A.C. with job responsibility.
• Disconnect and reconnect tubing, piping, hoses, valves up to 2 inches diameter with job responsibility.
• Perform incidental machining on parts to complete machine repair.
• Check proper function of machinery or equipment after repair.
• Diagnose machine function to avoid major breakdowns and perform preventive maintenance.
