Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Blairsville, PA is seeking a skilled Millwright to plan, layout and execute complex maintenance tasks on machinery and material-handling equipment. The role is 100% onsite and reports to the Supervisor of Maintenance and Facilities Ops.

You will perform installation, repair, rebuilds, diagnostics and simple fabrications while ensuring safety protocols and lockout/tagout procedures are followed, with a focus on reliability and uptime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Journeyman Millwright / Mechanical Craft Certification.
• Five (5) years Mechanical Repair Craft experience, three (3) of which must be in an industrial maintenance environment.
• Diploma or applicable education from a trade or technical school in industrial maintenance may qualify for part of experience requirement.

Responsibilities

• Receive work assignments and work from sketches, prints, drawings or supervisor instructions.
• Disconnect and reconnect electrical services up to 120V, single phase A.C.
• Disconnect and reconnect tubing, piping, hoses, gauges, valves up to 2" diameter.
• Perform incidental machining on parts to complete machine repair.
• Check proper function of machinery after repair work.
• Diagnose machine function to avoid major breakdowns and perform preventive maintenance.
• Move related material and equipment required to perform job tasks.
• Maintain inventories/records of labor, parts and materials.
• Lubricate equipment and maintain fluid levels.
• Repair, fabricate and install brackets, guards, hangers and supports.
• Repair pumps such as mechanical vacuum, gear and hydraulic pumps.
• Overhead crane inspections and repairs.
