Job summary

SF Metalworks in Colusa, CA is seeking a skilled Millwright / Facilities Technician to keep our shop running and support its expansion. You’ll install, align, repair, and maintain production machinery while helping with facility upgrades.

This hands-on role requires reading blueprints, rigging, welding, and basic electrical/plumbing work, with a Monday-Thursday 5:00 AM–3:30 PM schedule and hourly compensation of $38–$50.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 3+ years in millwright, industrial maintenance, or heavy equipment installation in manufacturing/metal fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Install, align, level, dismantle, and reassemble industrial machinery and heavy equipment.
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues.
• Rig, move, and position machinery using cranes, hoists, and other equipment.
• Use precision measuring tools to verify alignment and tolerances.
• Fabricate, weld, and machine replacement parts as needed.
• Maintain maintenance logs and work orders.
• Support shop improvements and utility installations.
