UCHealth Interpreter Services is seeking a full-time on-site Medical Interpreter in Aurora, CO to provide accurate interpretation between patients, staff, and healthcare professionals in the patient’s preferred language.

The role requires experience in medical interpretation, adherence to privacy policies, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Compensation ranges per hour and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of a medical interpretation competency test is required.
• 2 years of medical interpretation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a conduit between patient/guest and healthcare professionals for communication in the patient's preferred language.
• Interprets medical terminology accurately, including anatomy, prescriptions and procedures.
• Maintains privacy and confidentiality of patient information at all times.
• May translate written documentation when needed.
• Works in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision and good judgement.
