Job summary

Abbott Park, IL is seeking a Mechanical Reliability Engineer to optimize asset performance across the lifecycle. The role focuses on reliability-centered maintenance, data-driven decisions, and collaboration with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and vendors to maximize uptime and safety.

You will lead preventive/predictive maintenance programs, analyze failure data, and support capital projects within the GES Global Engineering Services division.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 3+ years of engineering/operational experience.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards for division products.
• Balance of industrial/mechanical engineering principles, data analysis, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Quality Systems: ensure QMS compliance and effectiveness to support performance objectives.
• Project Management: lead maintenance and reliability initiatives; plan resources, budgets, and schedules.
• Mechanical Engineering & Reliability: analyze maintenance data; recommend reliability improvements; support PdM/RCM implementations.
• Reliability Engineering & Root Cause Analysis: monitor downtime trends; perform RCFA/FMEA; implement corrective actions.
• Technical Leadership & Collaboration: mentor maintenance staff; prepare reports; communicate with stakeholders.
• Compliance & Engineering Governance: ensure EHS compliance and regulatory alignment; manage risk.
